COVID-19 Day of Reflection

  • 9 March 2025
  • 11.30am, 1pm and 2.30pm
  • Free

To mark 5 years on since the pandemic began, members of the public are invited to spend time at the National Memorial Arboretum on the Day of Reflection, to honour and remember those affected.

Throughout the day, visitors will be able to select a single fresh flower* and lay it within the Trees of Life Glade in an act of their own Remembrance. The Arboretum Team will deliver short moments of reflection at 11.30am, 1pm and 2.30pm, including a reading of the poem ‘Blessed Alder’ by Dan Simpson, former Arboretum Poet-in-Residence.

The Trees of Life Glade is a living tribute to those who served our country throughout the pandemic and remembers all those who died as a result of COVID-19 in the UK.

Access to the glade will be freely available for all throughout the day during the Arboretum’s opening times 10am-4pm.  We recommend booking your parking in advance.
