We look forward to welcoming visitors to the National Memorial Arboretum this Easter holiday. Please be aware that planned improvement works on the A38 at Lichfield, in place from 27 March to 8 April, may affect some visitor road travel. The Arboretum will remain open daily as normal, from 10am – 5pm, and signposted diversion routes will remain in place to support journeys impacted.
We are currently not recruiting for any permanent positions. Read on to find out about how else you can get involved.
Freelance Heritage Engagement Coordinator & Freelance Consultant Archivist
The National Memorial Arboretum holds a wealth of uncatalogued photographs, documents, media including oral histories, personal collections and ephemera, much of it dispersed, unrecorded, or at risk. As the Arboretum approaches its 25th anniversary, Archiving Remembrance seeks to capture, preserve and celebrate the site's unique heritage, safeguarding a collection that tells the story of its conception, growth, and role in shaping contemporary Remembrance.
These 12-month posts, supported by the National Lottery Heritage Fund, will be central to the creation of an accessible, sustainable archive of the National Memorial Arboretum’s heritage materials and stories.
Application Closing Date: 27 April 2026
