Entry to the Arboretum is free, but for everyone's comfort we are limiting the numbers onsite. We strongly recommend pre-booking your visit to guarantee entry. You can check our latest availability and book online using the link below.

 

Visitors are advised that the Coffee Shop is currently closed. Our Restaurant is open from 10am - 3pm.

On Sunday 14 November a service will be held in the Arboretum grounds, open to all. 

 

All tickets to visit the Arboretum on Sunday 14 November have now been allocated. All visitors travelling to the Arboretum on the day will be required to hold a valid ticket. A road closure will be in place and only visitors with tickets will be permitted into the grounds of the Arboretum.


The service will commence both onsite at the Arboretum and live online via our YouTube channel and Facebook page at 10.50am.

Remembrance Sunday Ticket Holder Information

  • Only ticket holders who have booked tickets for an 8am, 9am or 10am arrival will be permitted onto site prior to 11am. Please also ensure that you arrive within the time slot you have booked. 
  • We are expecting lots of visitors at the Arboretum on Remembrance Sunday and therefore recommend that you allow more travel time than normal.
  • Visitors with afternoon time slot bookings who arrive before their time slot will be asked to return to the Arboretum later in the day at their allocated arrival time.
  • To help our team ensure we are quickly able to welcome visitors to site please ensure that you have your booking confirmation letter ready to present to our team, either on a phone or paper prior to arrival at the Arboretum.
  • If you have made a booking for multiple vehicles or tickets for an on foot arrival please ensure that the other members of your party, arriving separately, are made aware of your booking reference number and the name under which the booking was made ready to present at the road closure.
  • Both the Arboretum's parking areas will be in operation during the course of the day. Car Park A, located next to the Remembrance Centre will be reserved for blue badge holders, a drop-off point is also available next to the Remembrance Centre. Please follow the instructions of our parking attendants on the day. 
  • The Remembrance Sunday service will begin promptly onsite at 10.50am. We strongly recommend visitors with 8am, 9am and 10am arrival times wishing to attend the service allow time to travel from the car park and into the Arboretum grounds. 

  • Our Restaurant will be open from 8am on Remembrance Sunday.

What time will the Arboretum open on Remembrance Sunday?

The Remembrance Centre will open at 8am on Remembrance Sunday. All tickets to visit the Arboretum on Remembrance Sunday have now been allocated, and only visitors with a ticket will be permitted onto site where a road closure will also be in place. 

 

Only ticket holders who have booked tickets for an 8am, 9am or 10am arrival will be permitted onto site prior to 11am. Please also ensure that you arrive within the time slot booked.

Do I need to pre-book to visit on Remembrance Sunday?

Yes. All tickets to visit the Arboretum on Sunday 14 November have now been allocated. All visitors travelling to the Arboretum on the day will be required to hold a valid ticket. Please do not travel to the Arboretum if you have not booked a ticket.

A road closure will be in place and only visitors with tickets will be permitted into the grounds of the Arboretum. 

Our Remembrance Sunday Service will also be broadcast online live via our Facebook and YouTube channels. 

I have lost my confirmation email is it possible to receive this again?

If you are no longer able to find you ticket confirmation email please email info@thenma.org.uk, indicating your arrival time slot and the name under which your booking was made and our team will aim to resend your confirmation email.

Queries that arrive outside of our opening hours will not be picked up until the next working day. 

I have a blue badge where will I be required to park?

On Remembrance Sunday Car Park A, next to the Remembrance Centre, will be made available to blue badge holders. Available spaces will be issued on a first-come-first served basis. A pick-up/ drop-off point is also available close to the Remembrance Centre. Please follow the instructions of our parking attendants on duty. 

I don't have a printer can I show my ticket confirmation on my phone?
To help our team ensure we are quickly able to welcome visitors to site please ensure that you have your booking confirmation letter ready to present to our team, either on a phone or paper prior to arrival at the Arboretum.
Where will I be required to park?
We will be utilising both of our parking areas on Remembrance Sunday. Please follow the instructions of our parking attendants on duty who direct you to a parking area. Car Park A, located next to the Remembrance Centre will be utilised by blue badge holders. 
I have booked multiple tickets, will the other members of my party need a confirmation email?
If you have made a booking for multiple vehicles or tickets for an on foot arrival please ensure that the other members of your party, arriving separately, are made aware of your booking reference number and the name under which the booking was made ready to present at the road closure.
Will the Daily Act of Remembrance take place on Remembrance Sunday?
Our 11am daily act of Remembrance will not take place on Remembrance Sunday. 
Will the service go ahead in inclement weather?

The Remembrance Sunday service will take place in the event of inclement weather

Will I be able to visit the Armed Forces Memorial?
The Armed Forces Memorial will be closed to the general public until after the Remembrance Sunday Service. Our team will ensure that any infrastructure used during the event is cleared as soon as possible following the service. 
Can I purchase a wreath and floral tribute to lay during the serivce?

Wreaths and individual tokens of Remembrance, such as fresh flowers or poppy tributes, may be laid after the service has ended and the Armed Forces Memorial has re-opened to the public. You are also welcome to lay your tributes at any of our other memorials throughout the day. 

Poppy tributes are available to purchase within the Remembrance Centre.

If you would like to order a wreath, at a cost of £18 (plain) or £20 (personalised) please call 01283 245 100. Wreaths will be made available for collection on the day of the event. 

Can I book a mobility scooter or wheelchair?

The Arboretum has a limited number of both manual wheelchairs (by donation) and motorised scooters (£5.00) which can be booked by calling 01283 245 100. 

Can I watch the service from home?
Our Remembrance Sunday service will be broadcast via our YouTube channel  and Facebook page for those wishing to participate but who are unable to attend the service, the service will begin promptly at 10.50am.
What time will the service begin?

The Remembrance Sunday service will begin at 10.50am. Only ticket holders with 8am, 9am and 10am arrival times will be permitted onto the site before 11am. Please ensure you arrive within your booked time slot. 

We are expecting a large number of visitors onsite on Remembrance Sunday ticket holders are advised to allow more travel time than normal when planning their journeys. 

Will there be a parade on Remembrance Sunday?
We will not be hosting a parade on site at the Arboretum on Remembrance Sunday. 
Will I be able to bring my standard to parade during the Remembrance Sunday service?
Only the Union Flag and National Memorial Arboretum branch standard will be paraded during the Remembrance Sunday service.
