Illuminated Arboretum

Visiting Us

The National Memorial Arboretum remains open to pre-booked visitors following the introduction of new national coronavirus restrictions from Thursday 5 November, however the number of visitors permitted access each day will continue to be regulated and will be by pre-booked ticket only.

Access to the Arboretum will be via the Remembrance Centre where our visitor toilets remain available. The new restrictions mean that all indoor areas including our Shop are closed and we are currently unable to offer dine-in options in our Restaurant, though a limited take-away service is available from our Coffee Shop kiosk. Our tours, talks and trails are also unavailable.

Further information about the measures currently in place at the Arboretum can be found by following the link below.

Illuminated Arboretum FAQs

Will the Illuminated Arboretum take place in the rain?

Inevitably bad weather can affect any outdoor event and therefore the event will still go ahead unless the conditions become unsafe. If the Arboretum is required to cancel the event as it is unsafe to proceed, wherever possible visitors will be offered an alternative date/time to attend. Any decision to cancel the event will be taken by 2pm on the day and ticketholders will be notified by email or telephone with details of how to reschedule.

Will the Illuminated Arboretum still take place?

We continue to look forward to welcoming visitors to enjoy Illuminated Arboretum from 9 to 19 December. Our team has been planning this eagerly anticipated event for several months and are confident of delivering a safe and enjoyable environment for all visitors. Earlier this year, the National Memorial Arboretum was been granted VisitEngland “We’re Good to Go”, recognising compliance with government and industry best practice, and our team now has extensive experience in delivering Covid-secure events.

All visitors to Illuminated Arboretum are requested to follow the latest Covid-19 legislation and advice, and exchange and refund options will be available to those prevented from attending due to public health measures.

In the unfortunate event that we have to cancel or alter the date of an Illuminated Arboretum event due to government restrictions, we will contact all ticket holders to explain the options available.

What time should I arrive?
