The Arboretum’s Land Train is the perfect way to enjoy our 150-acre site. Whatever the weather, the 50-minute journey will provide you with lovely views across the landscape and will introduce you to some of our 300 plus memorials. Highlights en route include the Shot at Dawn Memorial, The Polish Armed Forces Memorial, The RAF Remembrance Garden and views across the Naval Review.
Perfect for first time visitors, the Land Train features pre-recorded commentary providing an ideal introduction to the Arboretum and its many stories.
£6.00 per person. £3.00 per child (6 - 16 years). Under 5's free.
£15.00 Family of Four (one or two adults).
Tickets for the Land Train can be purchased online, below, or in the Remembrance Centre at the Welcome Desk.
The train stop is located on Giffard Avenue, close to the Remembrance Centre. Disabled access and weather-proof carriages are available on every train. Please note, only a limited number of wheelchair spaces are available on the Land Train, issued on a first-come, first-served basis.
Parties of ten or more who pre book their land train can benefit from a reduced ticket price of £5 per person. Please call 01283 245 143 to book group land train tickets.
Please be aware a reduced timetable operates throughout the winter months:
From 1 December 2019 the Train will operate hourly (10.30am - 2.30pm)
The Train will not run 2 January 2020 - 14 February 2020
From 15 February 2020 - 9 April the Train will operate hourly (10.30am - 2.30pm)
From 10 April the Train will return to half hourly service (9.30am - 3.30pm)
Undiscovered Arboretum Buggy Tours are also available and provide a chance to uncover some of the lesser-explored areas of our site.
