Where our Nation remembers

VISITING GUIDELINES

Set in 150 acres of grounds, the Arboretum is filled with interesting and unusual features. A little planning will help you get the best out of your visit.

ACCESS

Accessibility - there is level access to the Visitor Centre where disabled toilet facilities are available. There are also firm level paths giving good access to much of the site.

Mobility - for less mobile visitors, wheelchairs and electric scooters are available on loan from the visitor centre. To ensure availability they should be booked in advance. We respectfully ask that a suitable donation is made for use of a manual wheelchair and charge £5.00 for a motorised scooter.

Working assistance dogs accompanying their handlers are welcome at this site.

VISITORS WITH DOGS

Visitors who wish to walk their dogs onsite should use the public footpath only.

With the exception of working assistance dogs, dogs are not allowed in the formal grounds of the Arboretum or on/near the memorials. Dogs must be kept on leads at all times. Please note that the Arboretum has no dog waste bins and our parking area provides no shade for dogs left in cars.

Please enquire at Reception for details of the public footpath route.
