Gain a deep and personalised insight into the National Memorial Arboretum by taking advantage of our range of guided walks and land train tours.

Walks and Tours

Guided walks of varying lengths take place daily at 11.30am and 2.30pm (subject to availability) with a charge of £3.00 per person. These can be booked at the Visitor Centre and are especially good for those wishing to learn more about the deep symbolism of the landscape and history of the memorials.

For those wanting to wander around the grounds at their own pace, our guidebook is available from the Visitor Centre for £6.50. It is a beautiful glossy book which details information on each memorial. We also offer a detailed site map for £3.

These are ideal for those visitors who wish to explore the grounds independently, along our many trails and walks. You can choose a leisurely walk to suit your time and ability.

World War I Trails

You can explore our intriguing woodland landscape on one of our special family friendly World War I self-led trails. The three unique trails will introduce you to the fascinating stories behind a number of our memorials and key events of World War I.

Buggy Tours

Undiscovered Arboretum Buggy Tours with our knowledgeable guides depart every 45 minutes from the Visitor Centre from 10.30am with a charge of £5per adult, £2 per child, under 5s free. Subject to availabiilty.  

Land Train

land train operates approximately every 30 minutes from 9.30am until 3.30pm. This 60-minute tour includes an enlightening commentary and begins from the Fauld Memorial.

Tickets can be purchased from The Market Square for £5.00 per adult or £2.00 per child (under 12 years). Family land train tickets, for two adults and two children under 12 years, are also available and cost £12.00. Special rates apply for groups of 10 or more booking in advance.
