Where our Nation remembers
WARWICKSHIRE YOUNG VOICES SING ON REMEMBRANCE DAY
Date: 14 November 2011
Warwickshire Young Voices, a local choir of 35 seven to sixteen year-olds, made a trip to remember our fallen heroes at The National Memorial Aboretum in Staffordshire on Remembrance Sunday.

The youngsters sang as part of the Remembrance Service, as well as providing music for the thousands of visitors as they viewed the monument and laid their wreaths. Their performance of Eric Clapton's 'Tears in Heaven' and Musical Director, David Iles' composition of 'Wherever You Are,' which incorporated The Last Post, were described as 'a beautiful and moving tribute' by one lady in the audience, who had recently lost her own son. This year marked the 10th anniversary of The National Memorial Arboretum in Staffordshire. The children of Warwickshire Young Voices were especially moved by the names of Service personnel added only this year, as well as the blank wall of the memorial.
