Privacy Statement

At the National Memorial Arboretum we take your privacy seriously and we will only use the information you have provided on this form in order to process your application to volunteer with us. We are processing your data based on the legitimate interests of the Arboretum and will use the contact details you have provided to discuss your volunteering application, and, if you are successful in your application, to send you relevant inforamtion about volunteering and associated duties. 

We will not share your data and promise to keep your personal information safe and secure. It may be stored electronically on our systems, or manually, and will only be used by those authorised to access it. 

We will hold your personal data for up to three months after you apply if you do not become an Arboretum volunteer, or, if you become a volunteer, for up to three months after you stop being a volunteer. If you would like us to stop processing of your personal information for the purposes of volunteering please contact our Volunteer and Training Coordinator.

Details of criminal convictions

The volunteering duty you are applying for means that, under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (1974), you must declare all convictions whether unspent or not. A conviction does not necessarily mean that you cannot volunteer for us, but we do need to know.









Proof of identity
Please note all volunteers will be required to provide proof of identity to ensure applicants have the right to volunteer in the UK. If you are invited to interivew, you will be required to bring these documents with you. More inforamtion will be provided at that time. e.g. Passport.
