Where our Nation remembers

FUNDRAISING EVENTS

You can help support the National Memorial Arboretum either through taking part in one of our organised fundraising events, or by organising your own event to raise funds and help us keep this special place alive for future generations.

Many events held at the National Memorial Arboretum every year are organised specifically to raise funds and help create a world-class centre of Remembrance worthy of those who give so much to our country.

organise your own event

Organising your own fundraising event can be an excellent way of supporting the Arboretum, spreading the word about this special place and having a lot of fun too.

From sponsored bike rides to 'dress down' days at your school or office, organising an event can be a really good way of having fun and raising some money for a good cause. You can use our link on the right to set up your own fundraising page on the JustGiving website.

For more information, tips and advice download our fundraising pack – which includes lots of excellent ideas on how to raise money.

 ride to the wall

Founded in 2008 by Martin Dickinson, Ride to the Wall (RttW) sees thousands of bikers gather together every October and ride to the walls of the Armed Forces Memorial at the Arboretum to pay their respects to our serving and fallen Service men and women.

In doing so they raise funds solely for the purpose of perpetuating their memory. “Remembering those who can no longer ride by our side."

Please visit our events pages for further information.

Walk to the Wall

On Saturday 19 May 2012, NMA Friends will host the third Walk to the Wall event. Three sponsored walks, two linear (6.5m and 6m) and one circular (4m), will take place, finishing within the dramatic poignant structure of the Armed Forces Memorial at the National Memorial Arboretum. The walk raised vital funds in memory of our fallen heroes.

Walkers, groups, famillies and runners are all welcome. For those who wish to support friends and famillies there will be entertainment here at the Arboretum, near the finishing line.

To see images from last year's event please visit our Gallery.

Registration will open later this year but please check our events page regularly for more information.

To express your interest for registration, contact us on 01283 792 333 or email friends@thenma.org.uk
