The Armed Forces Memorial, and its immediate surroundings, will be closed to visitors from 10am on Friday 8 August to 5pm on Sunday 17 August to allow us to prepare to host the national VJ Day 80 commemorations. The rest of the Arboretum's 150-acres will remain open to visitors as normal. We are sorry for any inconvenience this might cause and appreciate your understanding during this time.
The National Memorial Arboretum is a UK registered charity that relies on the generous support of our visitors, partners, friends and donors. We provide a year-round space where lives can be celebrated and remembered, and people of all ages can learn and reflect.
We are here to keep precious memories alive, pay tribute to those who have served and sacrificed for our nation, and to ensure the unique human stories behind the memorials are shared, enjoyed and never forgotten.
It costs £1,648 to maintain and run our beautiful site during an average visit to the Arboretum*. That’s around £8 per minute. Please help us to ensure we can:
