WALKING FOR HEALTH

Date: 01 January 2011 to 31 December 2011

Join us for a healthy walk every Monday at 2.30pm - and it's FREE !

There are more than 600 Walking for Health schemes running across the Country.

The Get Active in The Forest walking programme runs 21 weekly walks in South Derbyshire with an additional two themed walks per month.

The walks last about 45 minutes to 1 hour and are aimed at getting people more active whilst at the same time enjoying their local environment.

Obviously, the Arboretum is perfect for this!

People of any level of fitness can take part in these walks. Trained walk leaders (at least two) can adapt the walk to suit any pace.

Also online now is the National Forest Walking Festival 2012 program, which takes place between the 19 and 31 May.
