Proms at the Arboretum FAQs

Timings

What is the start/end time of the event?
Admission to the event site is from 6pm, with the Proms performance beginning at 8pm. We recommend arriving in good time to allow for ticket checks. The event is scheduled to conclude at 10.30pm. Please note that timings are approximate and subject to change.

Can we arrive earlier in the day for the event?
Yes. The Arboretum grounds will be open from 9am, and will remain open to ticket holders until the start of the evening’s performance. We would encourage ticket holders to arrive early and enjoy our beautiful grounds. If you're planning to arrive earlier in the day we ask that you collect your performance wristbands from our welcome desk in the Remembrance Centre from 3pm. We will be issuing wristbands until 8pm. Visit our website to see the range of daily activities available. www.thenma.org.uk.

I am a Premier ticket holder – what time should I arrive?
Dinner will be served in our Restaurant from 6pm. We therefore recommend that you arrive at least 15 minutes beforehand to allow time for your tickets to be checked and to be seated.

Parking and Accessibility

Will there be plenty of parking?
Parking will be available on our main car park, as well as our overflow car park which is just a 3 minute walk along Croxall Road. Disabled bays are available in the main car park, as well as a drop off / pick up point.

Is there a charge for car parking?
Yes, there is a charge of £3.00 per vehicle. This cost supports the ongoing maintenance of the Arboretum, which is a registered charity.

What do I do if I need to pop back to the car for something I’ve forgotten?
When you arrive at the Arboretum your tickets will be checked and you will be issued with a wristband which will permit you entry to the event site. You will need to show the wristband to obtain re-entry to the event site.

Is the site wheelchair/pushchair friendly?
There is level access to the Remembrance Centre, where toilet facilities, including disabled cubicles and baby changing facilities are available. Firm, level paths give good access to the performance site which is located on a firm, grassed area of the Arboretum which is accessible to those with pushchairs or other special access requirements.

Wheelchairs and electric scooters are available to hire. To ensure availability, they should be booked in advance. We respectfully ask that a donation is made for the use of a manual wheelchair; a charge of £5 applies for the hire of a motorised scooter. Payment will be taken at the time of booking. Please note that motorised scooters are not permitted in the Remembrance Centre, manual wheelchairs are provided for indoor use.

Are dogs allowed into the event?
Due to the nature of our site and for the comfort of all our visitors, only working assistance dogs are allowed within the memorial grounds – including the performance area - and Remembrance Centre.
