Vintage Fair

From classic tunes, providing a soundtrack to the weekend, to toe tapping dance workshops, vintage hair styling and the ever-popular Curly Magpie Vintage and Handmade Market; there will be lots to entertain visitors of all ages at our Vintage Fair.

Alongside traditional Vintage Fair activities, this year’s programme will also incorporate elements which celebrate the Royal Air Force which is marking its centenary in 2018.

Sunday 6 May 2018

Curly Magpie Vintage Handmade Pop-Up Market - 9am - 5pm
Our favourite Curly Magpie stall holders will be returning to the Arboretum for our Vintage Handmade Pop-Up Market. From retro and handmade items to antiques, crafts and giftwares there will be treats aplenty.

Pin Up Curl Vintage Hairstyling - 9am -5pm
To help you get into the spirit of the day, Pin Up Curl Vintage Hair will be at the Arboretum throughout the weekend. Have your hair styled for free or watch as the vintage styles are created before your eyes. Appointments will be available on the day on a first-come, first served basis.

Colourful kaleidoscopes - 10am - 4pm - Suggested donation £1 per child

Young visitors will have the opportunity to create their own colourful kaleidoscopes, inspired by the Tribute 100 exhibition and in celebration of the Centenary of the RAF.  Using a rainbow of different colours and materials, children will have the chance to create a unique and beautiful kaleidoscope to take home.

Sincerely Yours – 11.30am – 5pm
Mother, daughter duo Sincerely Yours will be entertaining visitors with hits from yesteryear on Sunday 6 May.
 
RAF Costumed Interpreters - 9am - 5pm
Visitors will be able to meet our ‘airmen’ from the past throughout the weekend.

Colourful kaleidoscopes - 10am - 4pm - Suggested donation £1 per child

Red and Ginger Dance Performance and Workshop 11.30am – 5pm
Dance instructors Red and Ginger will be returning to the Vintage Fair by popular demand on Monday 7 May. You can participate in their fun interactive toe tapping dance workshops in Heroes’ Square throughout the day.  

Andy ‘B’ Goode and The Jays Vintage – 11.30am – 5pm
Three piece vintage tribute group The Jays Vintage will be entertaining crowds with classics hits from the 1940s by artists including the Andrews Sisters and Glen Miller.

RAF Costumed Interpreters - 9am - 5pm
