World War I Capturing the Past Family Photography Workshop

Join photographer Alison Fawdrey for an interactive family friendly photography workshop this summer. During the interactive session Alison will be helping our younger visitors develop their photography skills guiding them to get the most from their smart phone or tablet’s camera.

Designed to help families learn together, the workshop will take participants on an immersive journey back to WWI, using models and descriptive readings with specific reference to the Shot at Dawn memorial. Suitable for children from eight years, the session’s activities will enable our younger explorers to gain a deeper understanding of depth, perspective and picture composition as well as obtaining knowledge about events that took place 100 years ago.

The workshop will run from 10am – 2pm with a break for lunch, whereby visitors may wish to visit our restaurant. Some activities will take place on site so please ensure that you bring suitable clothing and footwear. Children must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times.
