Sands Garden Remembrance Service

The Sands Garden Remembrance Service is an annual event held at the Arboretum, offering anyone affected by the death of a baby the opportunity to meet with others in a peaceful atmosphere.

The service will commence at 2pm in the Pavilion Marquee, a short dedication ceremony will follow in the Sands Memorial Garden.

Families are invited to write their baby's name or a short message on stones or pebbles to leave in the Sands Garden. Small, flat stones will be made available on the day which you can write on in indelible marker pen. Alternatively, you are welcome to bring your own stone; all we ask is that stones are not more than 7cm in diameter. Please do not leave any other objects or items in the Sands garden.
