Ceremonies and Wedding Receptions

The National Memorial Arboretum is an inspirational venue for weddings and Civil Ceremonies and offers a comprehensive, tailor-made package to suit your needs.  Throughout the planning we are there to guide you step by step and on the day we take care of your guests to ensure that you can relax and enjoy every moment.

Within the Visitor Centre the entrance for the bridal party is through the Long Gallery giving spectacular panoramic views across the Arboretum, leading out to the Cloisters and the Millennium Chapel of Peace and Forgiveness.  The Chapel plays a central role in the day-to-day life here and, whilst not licensed to perform marriages, is available for the renewal of vows, blessings and as a unique backdrop for wedding photographs by prior arrangement.

Receptions
The Guelder Rose Room is available throughout the year for receptions.  Depending on the layout, this large, modern function room can accommodate a maximum of 120 guests.

Catering and Bar
Our in-house catering staff can offer a range of hot and cold menus to suit your budget.  Special dietary requirements are also catered for. Children under 12 years are charged at 75% of the menu cost.

Toastmaster
We can arrange the services of a professional Toastmaster who can offer advice on speeches and announcements, give guidance prior to and throughout the event, and ensure that all runs smoothly on the day.

Wedding Cake
We have a list of local suppliers who can create a wedding cake to your own specifications.

Photography and Videography
We can recommend a photographer and video cameraman.

Florist
We are happy to recommend the services of our local florist for pedestal, long and low, and table centre arrangements.

Entertainment
Our own PA system is available for hire, or we can source a variety of entertainment to suit all tastes.

Room Decorations
All wedding parties receive complimentary use of a red carpet, sterling silver bridal knife, co-ordinated napkins and changing room for the bride and groom. Optional extras such as balloons, tea-lights, disposable cameras, wedding favours, table confetti and damask table napkins are available at an extra cost.

Licensing and Charges
Please note that our license requires all functions to finish by midnight.  Our charges are subject to an annual review.

Civil Ceremonies
The Guelder Rose Room is licensed to hold civil ceremonies conducted by the local Lichfield Registrar.

Ceremonies are performed every day, subject to availability with the Registrars and the Arboretum. Further information is available concerning the legal requirements of civil ceremonies. The Arboretum is also happy to accept same sex commitment ceremonies.

We can offer:

• Use of the Guelder Rose Room for the civil ceremony for up to 60 guests seated and a further 60 guests standing.

• Fresh flowers for the top table.

• Facilities for live musicians or you may bring your own music.

• Post-ceremony photographs in the Arboretum, by arrangement.

• A marquee in the grounds with full in-house catering facilities for your reception.

Next steps

In the first instance, please contact Helen Overton or Lynne Barkas who will be happy to make an appointment to view the Arboretum and discuss your requirements. Telephone 01283 792333 or email info@thenma.org.uk.

We can hold a date provisionally for a limited time to enable you to liaise with the Registrar or church. Thereafter, a deposit will be required, together with your booking form by way of confirmation, followed by appointments as your wedding plans progress.

We look forward to helping to make your day a truly special one.
