Where our Nation remembers

Explore our grounds

The National Memorial Arboretum operates themed walks around the site at different times of the year.

See our events calendar to plan your visit.

We have many trails and walks for those visitors who wish to explore the grounds independently. Choose a leisurely walk to suit your time and ability, for more information please ask at Reception.

Or, join us for a healthy walk every Monday at 2.30pm - it's absolutely FREE!

The Get Active in The Forest walking programme is one of the 600 Walking for Health schemes running across the Country and features 21 weekly walks in South Derbyshire, with an additional two themed walks each month.

The walks last about 45 minutes to an hour and are aimed at getting people more active while, at the same time, enjoying their local environment.

Obviously, the Arboretum is perfect for this!

People of any level of fitness can take part in these walks. Trained walk leaders (at least two) can adapt the walk to suit any pace. For more information please contact Tor Pitts at the Rosliston Forestry Centre on 01283 563483 or 07977439309, or by email at tor@roslistonforestrycentre.co.uk.
